Johannesburg East, Gauteng – A local technology start-up, TrafficFlow AI, has successfully secured a significant funding round to advance its innovative artificial intelligence (AI)-driven traffic management solution. The undisclosed investment will be utilised to further develop and implement the company’s proprietary system, which aims to alleviate traffic congestion and improve road safety within urban areas, starting with pilot projects in Johannesburg East.
TrafficFlow AI’s solution leverages real-time data from various sources, including existing traffic cameras and sensors, to predict congestion patterns and dynamically adjust traffic light timings. This proactive approach is designed to optimise vehicle flow, reduce travel times, and minimise fuel consumption. Mr. Sipho Dlamini, CEO of TrafficFlow AI, expressed his optimism regarding the investment. "This funding is a pivotal moment for us. It validates our vision for smarter cities and provides the resources necessary to bring our AI solution to the streets of Johannesburg East.
